PROPER CARE
The oil filter should be changed whenever the oil is changed. If it is
not, approximately one quart of dirty oil trapped in the oil filter will
contaminate the fresh oil and shorten its useful life. Additives in the fresh
oil will be consumed by the polluted oil in the filter. The new oil will
therefore not clean the engine as it should. The appropriate procedure for
